Brock Q. Piper, the owner of Family Lawyers Perth, ran away to art school in 2003. Studying intermittently, focused mainly on painting and drawing, often attending lectures in his spare time at university (biology, philosophy, art history, music theory, physics and environmental science).
Brock would hustle pool tables to pay rent, worked as a chef late at night, and would paint into the early hours of the morning.
He has held studios in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Brock’s work is based on a visual response to his day to day life.
“There are no illusions, only what is there, what you can see, it doesn’t matter what I feel, what I’ve seen or done, there’s just the work. It’s all I’ve got”.
Brock’s Exhibition will open Wednesday 21st August 6pm and will run until Sunday 1st September.
Global Gallery will be open for viewing Wednesday to Saturday 11-6pm and Sunday 12-4pm.
